I was growing up a sickly kid. My parents send me to a judo school to get stronger and build character. Not an American McDojo, mind you, but a Soviet Olympic school. I was one of the youngest students. I did not become a serious judo player, but it was my first love, and still is. And I did become a character.
I lived vicariously through Arsen Galstyan this year. He is the Man.
